Accordingly to a recent legislative act, on the wave of the worldwide initiatives related to digital nomad visa, Italy is going to introduce a new working visa type.

The new visa type covers the case of highly specialized non-Italian workers, able to carry out their job activities on the Italian territory but remotely, through the use of technological tools, for businesses located outside Italy.

The visa will allow the applicant to enter Italy and directly request a stay permit, with no need of a prior Nulla Osta (No Impediment to work in Italy).

The specific eligibility criteria, requirements and implementation process will be defined in the upcoming weeks.
